On any given day in the Southeast Division...
- Working
with our collaborative partners, 116 women receive mammograms.
- We support 42 patients with Quality of Life programs.
- Southeast Division Call Center helps 250 people with cancer information.
- Invest an average of $80,000 per day in research.
- On average 40 patients are in our Hope Lodges and 3 patients are being
admitted.
What the America Cancer Society does to help patients...
- Provides
Look Good...Feel Better for female patients with cancer.
- Offers Reach to Recovery for female patients undergoing treatment for breast
cancer.
- Makes available prostate cancer volunteers to visit to call patients
undergoing treatment.
- Provides FREE wigs, prostheses to cancer patients.
- Open 24 hour/7 days a week for cancer information.
What you can do to help...
- Ask your
cosmetologist if she/he would like to volunteer 2 hours a month to help female
cancer patients.
- Volunteer to drive cancer patients to their cancer treatment once a month.
- Volunteer to join the ACS Action Network, call or write your legislator.
- Become an ACS volunteer for Man to Man, Reach to Recovery, or cancer
education.
- Form a team to participate in Relay for Life.
